WEDDING

Audrey and Jared – Still 9.26.2020

Updated: 9/24/2020 – Shuttle Times have been added to the Guest Information page
Updated: 9/22/2020 – Sunday Brunch and Afterparty information has been updated on the Weekend Events page

An Opening Note:

First off, we would like to apologize for the lack of updates. Long story short, our original venue cancelled on us with just over 40 days until the wedding.

Moving forward, this website, and specifically this page, will be the most up-to-date source of information regarding our wedding. If you send us an email or text with a question, we will do our best to respond, but we may not know the answer since planning is still in progress due to the change in venue.

The Big Update:

We have been working diligently to secure a new venue and we have some great news – our wedding is 100% still on for 9/26/2020. We asked Brewport, the site of our third date and our favorite restaurant, if they could help us out, and we are ecstatic to let you know that Brewport will be our wedding venue! If you’ve never been to Brewport, get ready for the best pizza, salad, and beer Connecticut has to offer.

Weekend Events/Guest Information Changes:

– If you made a reservation at LaKota Oaks, that reservation has been automatically cancelled.
– We have room blocks available for guests to book at two local hotels. Additional information is available on the Guest Information page.
– The ceremony and reception will both be at Brewport. Times are posted on the Weekend Events page.
– The ceremony will be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person. The livestream can be accessed here.
– The wedding is being fully catered by Brewport. Please see the Weekend Events page for more details.
– We will be hosting Sunday Brunch at our house the morning after the wedding. If you plan on attending the Sunday Brunch, please RSVP so we have a headcount. Details are available on the Weekend Events page.
– The original “rehearsal dinner,” scheduled for the Friday evening before the wedding, has been canceled.

The COVID-19 Stuff:

– For us to hold this wedding, we must follow guidance provided by the state of Connecticut. We truly appreciate everyone in attendance respecting and adhering to the protocols as it will help ensure the health and safety of guests and the Brewport staff.
– We have rented out Brewport for the day, so only our guests and Brewport staff will be in the venue. The venue is large and has outdoor areas. We expect 100-150 guests to attend.
– In accordance with Connecticut’s Phase 2 guidance, face masks will be required at the wedding. In-depth details on Connecticut’s face mask guidelines are available at https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/Latest-Guidance.
– We will be providing themed face masks for all guests!
– Brewport, as they have been since guidance has been instituted in Connecticut, will be following the most up-to-date protocols for our wedding. We ate at Brewport in early August and could not have felt safer.
– Please be aware of and review Connecticut’s travel restrictions. The latest information can be found by going to https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/travel. If you have any questions, please e-mail us.
– If you are travelling to Connecticut from an Affected State, you must fill out and submit a Travel Health Form, available at https://appengine.egov.com/apps/ct/DPH/Connecticut-Travel-Health-Form.
